Hello,
I’m fairly new to Avast and need some help resolving a Threat Block popup message I’m getting. There is an option to Run Smart Scan, which I have done, and fixed everything the free version would let me, but the messages are still popping up. I’m going to try and attached snips of the messages, but I’m not sure if it will work as they don’t appear to be loading. This gives you some idea of my level of IT know-how (ie. Luddite).
Please help!

Just follow the instructions step-by-step
Attach your basic diagnostic logs. (MBAM, FRST and aswMBR)

Thanks, but as I mentioned above I followed the link and found it too confusing. I know it’s probably straightforward and simple to someone who is good with computers, but it’s like a foreign language to someone who isn’t.
If so, ask someone (family/friends/neighbors) to help you with it.
Shortly after this discussion and before I had a chance to get anyone to help me, the messages stopped popping up. I’ve waited almost a week and they haven’t returned. Will it be okay to do nothing now, do you think? I will have to pay someone to help and I can’t really afford it, so doing nothing is my preferred option but I don’t want a problem lurking unresolved either.

There are likely things that need to be removed from your system.
There is no need to pay anyone, help here is free.
Just follow the instructions in the link I gave you step-by step.
There really is nothing confusing there if you take it one step at a time.

If and when you du it, you just follow instructions related to the two first pictures, Malwarebytes and Farbar Recovery scan tool and attach the requested logs here
you know how to download and install a program? i assume you did so with avast?
so you download and install malwarebytes, run the scan and attach log
even simpler with farbar as there is no install, it run direct and will produce two logs if you use (recomended) same check as the picture show

I might have a go over the weekend. I can install things if they have something big and obvious to click on and then all I have to do is click Run

I am up to the step after the scan that says “When the scan is complete , make sure that everything is set to “Quarantine”, and click Apply Actions.”
However, this has appeared on my screen instead. I can’t see anything that says Quarantine or Apply Actions. Should I just click on Remove Selected?
