I downloaded avast! for 3 hours, then installed it, after that was done it ran a system scan by itself, then informed me that I had 4 trojans, then it said that I had upgraded my computer and would have to reinstall avast! before it would work.
I have not upgraded my computer, I would like to remove these trojan things and I would like to know how to reinstall avast! without having to download it again.

This seems to be the boot time scanning just after the installation.
Most probably your avast version was upgraded. Last days we have three versions releases.
What did you do? Did you send the files to Chest (Quarantine)?
Did you uninstall avast? Why are you wanting to install it again?
no I did not send it to the chest, there is a problem there as well, it says initialization of chest file action was completed with errors.

description: virus chest server is not running. RPC communication failed.
no I did not uninstall avast! the message on the computer said that I would have to reinstall avast! for it to run properly. I sure hope not.

Generally, in PC versions, RPC communication means bad avast installation or a presence of a second antivirus in the same computer.
avast could be not correctly installed.
Consider uninstalling, booting, installing again.
Thank you for your help, I had hoped I wouldn’t have to reinstall it but that seems to be exactly what I am going to have to do. If that doesn’t work I will be back asking for more help.
