Need Urgent help to remove Espeak and Colexity Virus

I think ComboFix or the virus really messed up my computer. I cannot save anything onto my C drive or the external hard drive that is attaching to my computer. I did a test by creating a file using notepad then save it onto my C drive. I got an error message that said “You don’t have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to get permission.” I’m logged on as an Administrator. I used to be able to save onto my C drive or my external hard drive. Please help

Combofix would not change any permissions on the Hard drive except to reset any to default…

The following programme can be run from a flash drive if you select the portable version

I turned off User Account Control (UAC) on my Windows Vista and it fixed the problem of not being able to save onto the C drive or external hard drive. I didn’t do Windows Repair steps you mentioned.

I did run the MiniToolBox. Here is the report. The only problem I have now is my IE keep crashing sometime. IE, Firefox, Chrome cannot run in sandbox. And sometime my laptop restart for no reason.

What do I need to do to verify there are absolutely no more security risk, malwares, virus on my computer?

Thank you

I feel we have cleared the malware and we are now looking at system problems

Go Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right click Command Prompt and select run as Administrator
In the black box that opens type :

sfc /scannow

Allow windows to do its thing
Did that resolve some of the issues ?

The scan say there are some corrupted files but couldn’t fix some of them. Please see attached image.

The file CBS.log is 46MB so I couldn’t attached it to this message. I uploaded it onto this site http://www.fashiontrendy.org

Thank you

It looks as though autochk is corrupted … Other repairs were carried out did it resolve any of the problems ?

My Internet Explorer keep crashing every few minutes even though I run it outside of sandbox. How do I replace the corrupted files? thank you

For the IE problem could you uninstall IE9, then after the reboot re-install it

For some reason when I go to Control Panel>Uninstall or change a program, Internet Explorer is NOT on the list so I can’t uninstall it.

I think I’ll just accept the condition my laptop is right now. Do I need to do something to wrap everything up?

thank you

To uninstall IE9 go to Control Panel > Programs and Features
On the left select installed updates
IE9 should be on there near the bottom

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Run OTL
[*]Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

:Commands [resethosts] [emptytemp] [Reboot]

[*]Then click the Run Fix button at the top
[*]Let the program run unhindered, reboot the PC when it is done

Remove ComboFix

[*]Hold down the Windows key + R on your keyboard. This will display the Run dialogue box
[*]In the Run box, type in ComboFix /Uninstall (Notice the space between the “x” and “/”) then click OK

[]Follow the prompts on the screen
[
]A message should appear confirming that ComboFix was uninstalled

Run OTL and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself.

We will now confirm that your hidden files are set to that, as some of the tools I use will change that

[*]Go to control panel
[*]Select folder options (Appearance > Folder options in category view)
[*]Select the View Tab.
[*]Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Do not show hidden files and folders.
[]Click Yes to confirm.
[
]Click OK.
