Hi Avast Team,
I want to know that Is avast de-obfuscate all Pack files(Specially for Smart Assembly). I mean At the time of static scanning, does Avast de-obfuscate .Net Packed file, like “de4dot” software ??
I am asking this because I am preparing a report on .Net PE packers.
Its really urgent.

You have asked likewise questions to Kaspersky’s.
PE Packers are being used in malicious software -malware, trojans and worms.
Obfuscation is malware’s best friend.
To get this information and training via a course normally will cost you a couple of grand.
As far as known to me avast does not attempt to analyze source code in static detection.
But the final word on that should come from an avast! team member, and I am not.
