I’m pretty sure avast! can detect NetSky-Q because i just archived one yesterday and it was doublechecked with multiple antivirus programs including avast!.
Make sure your mail protection is set correctly (Mail protection Wizard) or check if Outlook/Exchange splash screen appears when you run Outlook (not Outlook Express).
Well, it is the same sample which we received in the morning - it is really only the corrupted fragment of the virus. You might see it is 3024 bytes long only while Netsky-Q is about 28000 bytes long…
Dial-up is a connection to Internet through a telephone modem, a temporary connection. Is an ‘ancient’ type of connection as now everybody uses a permanent connection (ADSL) ;D (just joking… dial-up is used by a significant number of Internet users yet…).
