I am new to avast and i was confused about the the network and web shield. Every time i go on the internet, i check the shields but it takes a while for them to scan the website i am on. I’m a little worried that if i go on a website that is infected, the virus will be on my computer before avast has a chance to scan it. I have version 5.1.864. Any help is appreciated!
how do you know that these scans take time to process?
on the network shield, it says last analyzed connection.
so what? 
the network shield doesn’t analyse all pages, just the servers and refers to a white/black list, while the webshield actually scans each page for viruses. They don’t do the same job at all.
