i have noticed that network shield blocks access to bad sites?
the pdf exploit i mentioned earlier comes to mind should this not be done by web shield?
are they becoming one and the same because network shield is scanning port 80 and web shield seem’s to do it some times.
does network shield always scan and web shield only when firefox ie ect is open?
where can i get info on these to shields?

There is no overlap as the network shield is referring to a blocked sites list, updated in the VPS updates, so it isn’t actually scanning the content of port 80 http traffic, so it won’t be detecting by signature.
does network shield still detect worms?
It doesn’t detect ‘worms’ as it isn’t scanning content in the same way as the resident protection, but can detect common exploits attack attempts.
So it retains its original monitoring of ports commonly used by exploits, be they worms or viruses and has the new function of blocking known malicious sites.
