Network connection + startup + Avast 5 unsecured

Installed the new Avast and it seems to be delaying my network connection on startup

I have the blue progress circle on the network symbol for around a minute and it seems to coincide with the time that AVAST takes to go from the uinsecured to secured status (you can see the explanation mark on the avast icon). Once it goes to secured status then the network is connected to within seconds.

Is this a known bug, is it even AVAST? It seems very coincidental

(Windows 7 64 bit professional ed)

Mine does this also, or at last something very similar. My Windows 7 Ultimate x64 install shows the yellow triangle with the exclamation mark over the 'net connection icon for a minute or two post-boot. Eventually Avast IS 5 (fully licensed) kicks in and the firewall says that the local network (Home profile in Win7, Home zone in Avast IS) is recognised. The net then works and the Win7 connection icon returns to normal. I’d be interested to see any replies to this thread.

Anyone???

I am using Windows XP and on boot up to Desktop i have the same yellow triangle on the avast icon in bottom tray but i still have connection to my broadband i launched opera before symbol of triangle vanished with no problem but that little triangle was gone in less then 2-3 seconds. i think its avast loading its various shield modules must be something to do with how windows 7 loads on startup. if its taking longer then 2-3 seconds but i did not have network disconnected when triangle was there for that brief time.
