Network Distribution Through Firebox From Domain To Workgroup

Afternoon all,

I currently have my Avast AMS Server set up on a server which is a member of a domain (DOMAIN-1). I have recently installed a server to be used as an SFTP server thus sits beyond our perimeter of our network on the other side of a FireBox and is in its own workgroup (WORKGROUP) and has nothing to do with the domain with regard to security, trusts etc. I would like to deploy Avast to this machine from our AMS server. We have already opened the appropriate ports and tested connectivity via pings etc and all seems well. On trying to deploy the deployment package to the machine we are recieving the following error in the log.

Does anybody have any idea what I am doing wrong and if this is even possible or do we have to buy a single edition for the server?

It would be nice if you shared your fix with the community.

I’ll bet the reason was that your domain credentials wouldn’t let you install the software on the computer in the workgroup.

Two ways to get around that, use credentials that the workgroup computer has (such as SFTPServer\administrator)

Or, create a manual installation msi package, and install the package locally.
