I’m running Windows 7 on a desktop connected to the internet via mobile hotspot (no router). A laptop running Windows 11 is also connected via the hotspot. I’ve had Avast One installed for about a year but recently Network Inspector throws up a “One Problem Found On Network” message. The problem is supposedly on this computer and is as follows: “Vulnerable Service Found. An attacker can access a service on this computer without proper authentication.”
Underneath it says: “Risks: This device’s settings make it more vulnerable to attacks. Attackers can access personal files and photos on this device.”
Underneath that it says: “Vulnerability ID: HNS-ACCESSIBLE-SYSTEM-FOLDER”
There’s also a “Read help artcle” link but that just opens up a Google search for the HNS-ACCESSIBLE-SYSTEM-FOLDER vulnerability, which has not been helpful.
I have no idea what to make of this and why it suddenly popped up. Avast One is also installed on the laptop, which shows no vulnerabilities. How do I fix this? Any help greatly appreciated.
