Network shared files in shared drives are slow after enabling Flie system Shield

Hi There,

Excel, word or any files which are inside network drives are too slow. We investigated and found that Flie system Shield in Avast was making those files slow. We Stopped Flie system Shield and the files are getting opened and saved normally but we can’t disable it for security. Could you check why Flie system Shield is slowing down the network shared files?

Hello Mir,

what is your OS? it is windows 8 or 7?
usually solve by boot time scan then restart the PC

Try to add the \* exclusion in the File System shield settings.
This should improve the speed.

Thanks for replying.

We have win7 professional 32bit OS.

I went to file system shiled>Export settings>Exclusions and added this \* exclusion and also scannned while booting. Its working fine but after i reboot the PC the \* exclusion is getting removed which i dont want to. Any help on this please

Add the exclusion in your management console.
