Network shield keeps blocking Thunderbird from accessing Google Calendar

Hi. I’m running Avast 6.0.1203 and Thunderbird 5.0. I’m using the Provider for Google Calendar 0.8 plugin to sync Google and Thunderbird calendars. For some reason Network Shield has started treating the Google calendar site as an infected site when Thunderbird tries to sync. Any ideas why?
