This is completely awful.
Every since I got this it has slowed my quadcore computer down drastically.
The most annoying thing is I didn’t know it was AVAST at first so I spent a ton of time trying to figure out if I had a virus or not!
No its not a virus slowing my computer down, its the anti-virus app! :o
I have disabled a bunch of features in the expert settings too.
Moving windows around takes like 5 seconds.
Loading a new web page takes like 15 seconds.
starting a program takes like 10 seconds.
This is insane!
The only thing that fixes it is to turn it off.
What is going on with this new version?
Are you sure your computer is not infected?
Any other antivirus present? Which one do you have before avast?
Any other security program that could interfere?
i think it’s not the problem with Avast… i was using Avast 5.0 and i enable all expert settings,i have no such problems(i also use a dialup internet connection)
