New Avast Fl studio sylenth Conflict

Hi, there seems to be a bug in avast free for like 2 weeks now (newest version 7.3.2290 b 17.3.3442.0 with up to date definitions 170328-1), whenever i load up a project file in fl studio (newest version 12.4.2 tested) that contains the sylenth1 synthesizer some type of load error occurs and the synth does not make any sounds. When i try and press a note the whole fl studio crashes. When i turn off avast shields and load up fl studio again everything works normal. I tried adding the sylenth1.dll to all exceptions in general and shields settings but it doesn’t do a thing, app still crashes. It only works correctly with all shields turned off. Sylenth version 2.2.1 x86 .Maybe it has something to do with the wrapper that loads vst plugins because that’s when fl displays the error when loading?

Cheers

Hi, disable the behavior shield or set an exclusion.
Avast GUI → Settings → Components → Behavior Shield

Yea, already found that out on my own few minutes ago, the exclusion set in the component for every file in sylenth directory does not work, I had to disable the whole component, thanks anyway

You’re welcome.

Sylenth1 says: “Sylenth1” crashed while processing. Disabled.
Sylenth1 says: EXCEPTION (Gen_Render) Access violation at address 07615688 in module ‘Sylenth1.dll’. Read of address 00000038

came on here just to say i was having this same issue and this thread made my head stop hurting. thanks!

You’re welcome.

is there any way to stop this without taking down the entire behavior shield?

Settings>Components>Behavior Shield Customize. From there you can either change the default detection setting or set an exclusion for the program.
