I’m a long time user of Avast & never had a problem until I recently upgraded to the new Internet Security Suite. Now, I am going outta my mind!
Re: Input Director (software pgm that allows me to use 1 mouse & 1 keyboard with multiple computers & monitors): Been using Input Director forever. NOW, since the upgrade, every few minutes, Avast blocks my mouse from moving from monitor to monitor, computer to computer (Message: Slave cannot be located). Input Director worked flawlessly before the upgrade.
Re: Akrutosync (software pgm that automatically syncs MS Outlook with my iPhone & vice-versa): The newly upgraded Avast Internet Security Suite blocks the automatic sync between MS Outlook & my iPhone. Before the upgrade, Akrutosync worked flawlessly.
I’ve tried all of the so-called tricks: making exclusions, opening/forwarding the ports, changing application rules, etc. I even uninstalled & reinstalled Avast, Input Director & Akrutosync. NOTHING WORKS. No matter what I do or what I tweak, Avast keeps blocking Input Director & Akrutosync. I’ve spent hours & hours trying to solve the problem. Prior to the upgrade, I NEVER had any problem with Avast & Input Director or with Avast & Akrutosync.
THE ONLY THING that works is completely shutting down Avast. The minute I turn Avast off, Input Director & Akrutosync work flawlessly! So, I’m leaving Avast shutoff all the time. I read that other Avast customers are having similar problems with all kinds of software & web sites.
If I had to choose between Avast or Input Director or Akrutosync, Avast will lose.
I’m working with a Windows 10 computer & a Windows 8 computer. Problem is identical on both computers.
Windows Firewall is disabled on both computers. Windows Defender service is on manual. No other anti-virus programs are running.
Unless someone can give me a solid solution to this problem, I want Avast to refund my money.
Is there a solution? Please, help! Thank you in advance for your help!
