Avast One 26.8 — Release Notes
Stronger privacy and identity protection
- AI Agent Protection is now available in Avast One with support for viewing and managing protected agents.
- Breach Guard, Privacy Control, and Driver Updater now follow the same feature-visibility rules across the menu, dashboard, and Settings, so hidden products no longer appear where they should not.
- Historical breach alerts now use clearer names and show the correct breach name and date as you move through the list.
- Secure Identity controls now adapt better to longer translated text, including Spanish, for a cleaner layout in more languages.
Smarter Cleanup and performance
- Browser Cleaner now shows the actual size of browser caches instead of displaying 0.0 B when data is available.
- Data Shredder confirmation windows can now be closed with the X button as expected.
- Scan History now distinguishes between a scan that was canceled and one that finished while skipping locked files, so its message better reflects what happened.
- Software Updater keeps program icons at a consistent size, even when an application name is long.
A more reliable VPN experience
- The upper-right controls remain clickable when you open the SecureLine VPN section.
- OpenVPN TCP connections recover more cleanly from timeouts, reducing follow-on connection failures.
- WireGuard connections handle repeated connect and disconnect cycles more reliably.
- The Post-Quantum Encryption information dialog now uses corrected punctuation for clearer copy.
