we have just released a new program update to avast 5 (version number 5.0.418). You can go to this update from previous v5 builds by invoking the program update feature from within the avast GUI. Alternatively, you can download a full installer from our website (http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download#tab4) – please note that the partner sites, such as download.com, may take a day or two to get updated.

I have updated from 5.0.415 to 5.0.418 with no problems, everything seems running fine here… great work! I really appreciate your efforts to provide us with the best Free Antivirus Software.
I updated from 5.0.396 to 5.0.418 just fine. Didn’t know there even was a 5.0.415! I have my Avast5 Free set to “Ask” when there is an update available and I guess it DIDN’T. :-\
awesome thanks again for a great program guys… i have just bought the last remaining lic’s for the rest of my systems in my office. i do not have any nortons anymore lol. they have all been updated now to avast. even the wife likes it and she really could care less what i use as long as it works
