Software Updater should be fixed later this week, this fix will be independent of the released version of the app (so no need to wait a few more weeks for 20.5, it should start behaving normally even with 20.4). Thanks for your patience.
Chrome is no longer managed by organisation, that means QUIC is enabled and scanned? Strange is for example youtube used QUIC and now always use TLS 1.3, maybe is QUIC disabled somewhere else?
My Computer still sometimes freeze on shutdown/restart. (Avast service was not properly shut down). Win 7 64bit, Avast free.
Once again, as with every Update in the last year, Avast has broken my internet connectivity. I am forced to disable all shields in order to connect to the internet. This time, however, multiple restarts isn’t working. If there is a fix for this, that would be great. I have restarted and shut down my PC several times to no avail. Shutting down individual shields does not fix the issue, only disabling all shields allows me to access the internet. Even Avast itself is unable to connect to the internet due to its own broken blocking. Ironic.
Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: I’ve found the culprit at last. Deactivating Avast Firewall will allow me internet access once again. Here’s hoping good 'ol Windows Firewall will be enough. -_- Why am I paying for Avast again?
Deactivation the Avast Firewall is using a sledge hammer to crack a nut. There are many settings in the Firewall that could interact an cause this. What is your firewall set on Private or Public do you also use a VPN, etc.
Did you try an Avast Repair ?
I think you should take this into its own new topic as new program update topic, get big quick and this could get buried in it.
It seems like after updating the software to the build version 20.4.5312.561. The Riot Vanguard process is unable to execute on start up as it should, since it is a kernel mode driver. Even after adding an exception, I cannot find a way to get Riot Vanguard to run on startup again.
The other problem I run into is that my computer completely refuses to start up at times. All those issues started right after I was prompted to update the antivirus. I tried to uninstall then reinstall Riot Vanguard but with no success.
Is there anything I can try to fix my issue?
Same thing here on 2 different PCs, one with Windows 7 and another with Windows 10 ( Ver 1909 (build 18363.836)). Firewall block internet access.
Update: I just updated another PCs running Windows 10 version 2004 (insiders program build 19041.264), but this one is running AVG Internet Security, but same version (20.4.5312.561). Firewall is on but no problem with internet access.
Update 2: Thanks to Asyn got it all fixed up. Working fine now.
for those of you with Vanguard anti-cheat compatibility problem: we are preparing fix. As a temporary workaround, please disable the “hardware-assisted virtualization” in General->Troubleshooting settings.
