bob3160 post:19: Asyn post:17: bob3160 post:8:So where do I find the Download for the Omni version?
I didn’t see it in the Omni sub forum. Thanks Asyn.
Is there such a website for offline full versions downloads rather than online downloads? You’re welcome Bob. (No idea, sorry - as Omni isn’t available here, I don’t monitor it closely.)
It woild be nice if Avast kept their Omni Forum updated with the latest information.
Asyn post:18: Ilie I. post:5:Hi, I want to report a small UI bug, if I run a full scan on my PC, an “</ br>” appears between the scan description words(Romanian language) I’m on UI 1.0.579.
Hi, thanks for the report, the devs are working on a fix.
That’s exciting, thanks for response!
You’re welcome.
I am unable to download either offline installer; I can download both online installers
You have to enable “Insecure content” in site settings. You cannot download offline installer without this change if you use Chrome.

Hi
What about:
https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_omni_setup_offline.exe
?

Unsecure refers to http websites which isn’t the case for the Avast downloads.
I have no problems downloading the files while using Chrome without enabling insecure content.

But I have the same problem over 2 months and this fixed this issue for me. This issue is known. I’ve pointed this out before.

Find the problem, don’t simply disable protection otherwise, why have the protection?

What protection? This settings is for Avast forum only. You want tell me this forum is malicious? And of course, this can be reverted after download.
Problem should find Avast members because problem is on their side. Online installer download works properly.

Since then, have you cleaned your browser and/or DNS cache?

I clear Chrome cache regularly but i have no reason touch DNS cache.
Problem should find Avast members because problem is on their side. However, if it was on their side, everyone would be stuck, so, as Bob says: Find the problem...on your side.
What security related extension do you have installed?
What security related extension do you have installed?
I use only ublock origin in default settings, nothing else. As you can see i am not only one with this problem. In other browsers i can download offline installer without issue, but only in chrome i need enable insecure content. So chrome thinks that file is for unknown reason not secure, or that server where that file is stored is not secured (Maybe unsecure https certificate?). I am not expert but online installer can be downloaded anytime that is strange.
Turn off uBlock and see if that makes a difference.

Just tried it in other PC with chrome, there it works! But i found that https link pointed to http. So even i click to HTTPS offline inslaller link, it downloads from HTTP source. In chrome downloads appear http link. There will be problem i think. So there is in other hand strange why here chrome dont block that download, he should be blocked here too.

The https link in the forum for the offline installation file redirects to an http source.
See attached image in Reply #13 it shows the redirected link to hxxp://iavs9x--------avccdn.net which also has avg in the path, strange and I thought Avast bought AVG
https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=239611.msg1567418#msg1567418
So it is this redirection to an http source, that some browser settings will baulk at.
So why Avast don’t start off with the full https download path (as with the free on-line installation path) without a redirect required ?
For developers.
Do you foresee in the free version with the next releases to remove the annoying advertising popups passing to the premium version?
In my opinion they are not effective in making users switch from the free to the Premium version, indeed it is a deterrent in the installation and use of the free version which is an excellent version compared to the competition.
Premium version messages within the dashboard are fine but I would eliminate the annoying and sometimes misleading popups for novice users.

You can get rid of ads by just unchecking the privacy settings or by turning on the silent mode.

While unchecking the privacy settings, pop-ups appear periodically. Or am I wrong?
Does the silent mode pop up pop-ups when malware is detected?
