Thanks for the new release

Thanks Slavo, spreading the news.

Thanks!
However I would be curious to understand what graphic meaning has the new Avast brand linked to the quoted phrase.

Hi, see: https://blog.avast.com/brands-fundamental-truths-avast

Ok. Thanks!

You’re welcome.

The description of the new logo is a bit of an abstract stretch, but I like it. It resembles shape of letter “A” and it looks modern and interesting, much more than weird “a” in the current (old) logo of amoeba. I like the amoeba, don’t like the “a” letter in it.

THis new AVAST LOGO is not looking good.Previous LOGO was SO FANTASTIC AND BEAUTIFULL

Will Avast Anti-Virus Disappear to be replaced by Avast One ?
and applies to all users in the world

Nope, see: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=298299.msg1652375#msg1652375

Sorry but previous logo was superior to this and this is really awful. I dont uderstand why you change logo only somewhere. For example wsc_proxy.exe has old logo and also in my Win 7 Action center shows Avast with old logo. Also wasting time making new logo while there are tons of bugs is what i dont understand. Same as Win 10 from Microsoft they change colors and icons but about bugs no one care. Strange, you just need one number higher version because you must release new version each month for no reason.

Thanks for the update Avast… You bloody RIPPER!! Thank you for keeping me safe for 17 years now, I’m STILL using your product as always  ;D

It isn’t one number higher, but an increment 0.1 and not 1 (a whole ordinal, usually a major update).

Most AVs do this releasing minor changes/updates/bug fixes on a reasonably frequent basis or people may think they are dormant. Given all of the things you have said about Avast in the past I’m surprised you are still using it

I use it only because i am on Win 7 where is no Windows Defender.

I’m pretty sure you can still switch to any other Anti-Virus such as Avast that supports Windows 7.

Avast Passwords Chrome Extension, unlocking doesn’t work after updated Avast v21.8

I liked the amobe logo.

Edit.: but this new logo is not bad. Get used to.

so in october all free users will get basic firewall features or will be pushed back in november to see annoying bugs related to firewall ?

I got avast free firewall about 10 days ago when I manually updated to version 21.7 from 21.6. My other computer did not get the firewall.
