avast me bombardea con ofertas en mi pc es mas se ha cobrado una actualización sin autorización de otra cuenta osea han usado el navegador para cobrarse de una tarjeta personal que yo no he autorizado
yes, the firewall should be added automatically, especially since it’s already November, which means the feature should already be there, the avast team should fix it again. The estimated time for launching the firewall should just say this December because the number of users is more than 435 million worldwide so that the distribution of the feature is complete. in that month, users will want to understand, don’t say at the end of October all users have got a firewall, finally they complain because until now they haven’t got this feature
Hi
Just updated to the new Ultimate bundle on my laptop which included Avast Premium Security V21.9. Now I can’t access any websites and get this message (even got it trying to access the avast forum!)
This site can’t be reachedThe webpage at https://everquest.allakhazam.com/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_SSL_BAD_RECORD_MAC_ALERT
Had to disable shields to even get here to post this!
Hi,
Do you get this message only with chrome or with other browsers?
Do you have an Alienware laptop with a speed optimization application or a Killer network card?
A link to the “ERR_SSL_BAD_RECORD_MAC_ALERT” error you are experiencing: https://appuals.com/fix-err_ssl_bad_record_mac_alert/
For me method 1 is not really a solution since it prevents your antivirus from SSL scanning and just turns a blind eye to this type of connection :-[
Had to disable shields to even get here to post this!
By the way I suppose that in your case rather than disabling all shields .... only disabling SSL scanning in the web shield should solve your problem?
The problem may be elsewhere, try the other methods proposed first.
Since the update, my web pages will note load unless you hit refresh over & over. This is regardless of Edge, Chrome , or Avast Secure as the browser. This is not an issue with my internet or of me making a change in something. I turned my computer on one morning; Avast had the notice it had updated; and then all web pages started having issues.
21.9.2494 was a beta version released yesterday. If you’re not on beta channel and still get this, .2494 may be pushed into release channel now. https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=307214.0
Such a minor thing a 0.0.0001 increment very minor bug fix - Fixed an issue with missing translation during installation (tested in beta first). This
would probably get updated in the Engine and Virus definitions update with no user input required.
You probably remember that I don’t like behind-the-scenes program updates (which are known to happen even with the manual-update setting which I have). In this case the update control screen flagged the program as being behind, but the pending update was NOT applied until I hit ye olde “CHECK FOR UPDATES” button. That led to me try downloading the offline installer and seeing that the installer had been changed from 21.9.6675.0 to 21.9.6698.0 which meant it had been updated. That further meant I could have avoided “CHECK FOR UPDATES,” downloaded the installer and updated Avast per my preferences (Internet off during the update) instead.
Apart from Free Firewall, are you going to bring any new feature to protect users in the near future? In addition, I hope that the Avast teams should consider removing extra apps in Avast Free Antivirus like Avast SecureLine, Avast Driver Updater, Avast Cleanup, etc because they are definitely not free, no need to include them in the Avast Free installers.
I’m afraid I don’t remember that you don’t like behind-the-scenes program updates and I too have my Program Updates set to Manual. One difference here is that I’m still on 21.8.2487 (build 21.8.6586.697) as I usually wait for things to stabilise and that hasn’t updated behind the scenes. So I’m usually a 00.1 increment behind.
I don’t know why they did it this way in this case (e.g. having a beta release for such a small increment) as opposed to the Engine and Virus definitions update, that can deal with minor bug fixes. This does happen and the ‘current’ off-line installation file would also be updated behind the scenes, User Interface updates also happen this way and they to would be updated behind the scenes.
Then there is the Emergency Update function for more serious/critical bug fixes, which would also be included in the ‘current’ off-line installation file.
This behind the scenes update ‘current’ off-line installation file, is no doubt because avast doesn’t offer old builds for download, only the ‘current’ version.
I thought I heard avast say that there would only be one engine update (roughly) every month.
And for issues (which avast solved quite quickly) that are far more annoying than a translation issue during installation, they make us wait a month for the next update… I don’t understand why this time we got 2 updates in a week …for so little
