Where can I get 23.7 or 23.8? This one doesn’t work for me. 4 outta 5 time when I right-click on an icon on desktop, Explorer restarts. Took me two days to figure out it was Avast doing it. Unfortunately, the only other version I have is 22.3 And installed that. Everything was working fine until I decided to update it again and the issue came back. Searched far and wide, and nowhere could I find 23.7 or 23.8. Does anyone have it for me?
Where are you seeing this ?
I don’t see this in the UI > Menu > Settings > General > Update, see screenshot.
Have you tried the Update from the Right Click options in the Avast Tray icon ?
Just tested that on the VPS update took a little time but it completed.
First try a system restart and see if that resolves the issue.
If not try an Avast Repair:
AvastUI > Menu > Settings > General > Troubleshooting > Repair APP - Restart after completion.
Never mind, it turns out it was updating in the background, which is why the buttons were grayed out and requested me to restart computer, now it’s updated.
Buongiorno,
stesso problema con la nuova versione, non si aggiornano le definizioni dei virus come da immagine allegata. Ho provato varie soluzione ma il problerma persiste.
Version 23.9.6082 (build 23.9.8494.796) and at the moment everything works great, I also have no problems sending and receiving emails in IMAP4 with eMClient.
Out of curiosity, was there an update to the Avast UI where, after a scan, if files couldn’t be scanned it will tell you on the results page of the scan? I have only noticed that over the last little bit, but before on the Scan History page would notice the Red circle and exclamation point next to some scans
As soon as I restarted my Win10 64 system and resumed playing the movie I was watching just before upgrading from Avast Free Antivirus 23.5 to 23.9, my audio started having issues.
Every 30 seconds or so, I get a couple of seconds of delay (for example, a word gets repeated) and noise.
I guess the “culprit” must necessarily be Avast, as no other changes have been made to the system.
PS.
I posted a similar message as a separate thread, but then I thought that maybe it could be more relevant here.
