Thanks for the post. Was the issue with the date and time of Avast’s notification history (link to the topic below) fixed in between yesterday and today? If not, is it being addressed?

Thanks for the notification, better late than never

The Avast team, I just updated, is stuck on this screen, what the screen tells me is the following:
WE UPDATE YOUR AVAST FREE ANTIVIRUS
SCROLL TO SEE THE IMPROVEMENTS

note: As the attached image shows that there is no place for me to scroll to the next screen, I think it is a bug

I just updated Avast on a virtual machine to see if it was fixed, look at the result:
Note: as the image states, the date showing 1970 has not yet been corrected.

Guys, I believe it’s another bug.
My native language is Brazilian Portuguese. In the attached image, you can see that English is mixed with Brazilian Portuguese.

Seems like this version is still rather buggy upon final public release.

Just in a test I did by installing it on the virtual machine, I already identified 3 supposed bugs. lol

Well perhaps the bugs will be fixed in one of those stealth updates.

I will wait and do tests with Avast here on my virtual machine.

Thanks for the new release

Thnx for the new release.

I can confirm the translation issue from reply #6.

Greetz, Red.

I will always check every day to see if the bugs I reported here have been fixed, I will always be updating right here in this post

I can confirm the translation issue and this may also be the reason for the date issue … The date formats used in English are not the same as for other languages (French, Portuguese…)?

The format is different from Portuguese BR.
But we can’t explain why 1970.

Perhaps precisely because the inverted day/month format (e.g. 30 January, 20/01, 01/20) is not recognised as a correct date, so it displays Unix time…1970

There are some people who don’t make this mistake, undoubtedly those who have their system with the English format.
To be confirmed.

It might even be! Let’s wait for the avast team to talk about this. but they are taking too long :frowning:

Is it perhaps related to how someone’s date and time is formatted on Windows? Like if you do AM/PM vs 24-hour format?

I’ll use my example here.
I’m Brazilian and the date here at the moment is. Feb 8, 2024
on avast it is showing like this January 20, 1970

That’s why I think it’s not the format, because the number “1970”, even for all languages, doesn’t match.
