Seems a strange one this - I would have thought all https traffic would have been scanned - a definition of what Uncommon Applications are might have helped.
Generally I have mine set to Manual Program Update, this update however is generally bug fixes, so I have manually updated.
If you aren’t currently experiencing any bugs/issues, just keep monitoring the forums.
Whilst the version number may be the same, has the build number changed ?
I have program updates set to Manual so I don’t get any notification unless I go looking for it. For me when displayed the build number is the very slightly higher than that installed. Check my forum below my posts (I haven’t initiated the my forum signature). This could be a bug fix.
It isn’t just a new bug fix but also a new version release - 24.7.6124 (build 24.7.9311.855) - not yet notified in the forums. Time to update my signature.
I dont know when this started but I “think” Avast update has cause windows 10 to not put monitor to off (1~30min) dont mater the setting.
Upon boot and IF i walk away from pc and come back the monitor is not OFF, If Disable/uninstall avast or boot in safe mode which dont even let avast start up the Turn off Monitor after set time work perfectly fine. I can boot in safe mode and walk long enough for the turn off the monitor functions to kick in and turn off monitor.
I have to move my mouse click its button to get to work after bootup to windows normal and in diagnostic startup ( which still starts Avast just not all of it) got turn off monitor at set time to work, atlest till starts to do again at random, in which case I have move mouse and click it button to get to work again.
Whilst this topic is about - Avast version 24.6 - you don’t say what version you are using ?
The reason I say this is that avast 24.7.9311.855 has just been released as in my post above yours.
My settings don’t give me any issue. However I have a laptop with an external 27" monitor hooked up as my primary screen (and don’t have the laptop screen ON).
My first suggestion would be to do a manual program update and reboot and monitor (excuse pun) the issue you report.
