As Eddy said, better to release 4.5 with less bugs rather then more.
The only time BETA software that is any good is if it is open source (but i don’t see that happening with an anti-virus) , that way bugs are fixed quicker.
Sorry guys for these delays, we’re focusing on the completion of the ADNM (the network suite) right now so the regular avast is being a bit neglected. Hopefully just for a short while (ADNM’s quickly getting real stable).
I think I’d rather wait for a stable version (sorry to the guys who would like to try a beta) but with avast! having to support 2 million or more users, the vast majority just wanting a programme that works, I for one am quite happy to wait.
It’s a very refreshing and responsible attitude from a company, one which a major supplier of desktop operating systems should also adopt

For the others, well, Beta testers never mess the things
Like all other times, Beta is only available for the ones that feel confortable using a beta version. Users don’t have to be affraid about bugs on the beta. It’s only for the ones who wants it 8)
