i’m still waiting for 7-zip support in the new version ;D
or has it already been included? ???
Eddy

7zip will be supported in Avast 4.5
Have patience people. Better release something that is working, than something with a lot of bugs (as MS has a habbit of)

Give us something to play with
We can report bugs in beta software as we did before
We can’t be patient ;D
Let us work and give us the Beta 8)

As Eddy said, better to release 4.5 with less bugs rather then more.
The only time BETA software that is any good is if it is open source (but i don’t see that happening with an anti-virus) , that way bugs are fixed quicker.

Sorry guys for these delays, we’re focusing on the completion of the ADNM (the network suite) right now so the regular avast is being a bit neglected. Hopefully just for a short while (ADNM’s quickly getting real stable).
Thanks for your understanding.

I think I’d rather wait for a stable version (sorry to the guys who would like to try a beta) but with avast! having to support 2 million or more users, the vast majority just wanting a programme that works, I for one am quite happy to wait.
It’s a very refreshing and responsible attitude from a company, one which a major supplier of desktop operating systems should also adopt

Same, but i’d rather wait till its officialy out ;D
2million users is alot! if it were 5million thats more than the population of New Zealand ;D
Vlk, you know you have our comprehension…
For the others, well, Beta testers never mess the things
Like all other times, Beta is only available for the ones that feel confortable using a beta version. Users don’t have to be affraid about bugs on the beta. It’s only for the ones who wants it 8)
Good dreams avast! users

Well said, i’ll second that…

This new version will use minor resources?
The proxy to use in the email clients scan will be removed, and use a better way to scan it?
Thanks
