New Threat design isn’t that great in my opinion, kinda gets in the way of things, steals focus as well. What was wrong with old way? I didn’t see anything wrong with old way, so why change it?
Yes, presumably because they have changed the in your face alert dialogue window and not the toaster popup, this option in the tray icon menu is also stuffed.
I’ve been using Avast since version 4x, seen a lot of changes over the years, some positive and some not so positive, the current alerts for threats detected in these beta version is probably one of the worst changes seen in a long long time. What was the Avast Developers thinking even trying this beta with them in the first place, they should’ve known users wouldn’t like them.
Plus got my Mother using the free version and she can’t see that well, so i’m hoping before this is released to final a postivie change is made, little nervous on switching to Defender for protection, but it’s either face in your face popups, or switch to product eventually that doesn’t have the popups.
Or at least Developer explaining why changed to the in your face ones, and maybe could understand
Instead of introducing new unfinished features, first the old unresolved problems should have been cleared up.
Now what we have are new problems added to those that haven’t been fixed from previous releases. :o
There are times when you have to be brutally honest about how you feel. What is the point on pushing on with a new beta or program update with new functions when there are issues outstanding also carried forward. I think a period of consolidation needs to happen to resolve outstanding issues. Whilst they might be considered cosmetic or not crucial, but they are still bugs that need squashed, especially for those using paid versions.
It feels like we are in a permanent state of (flux, I hope I spelt that right ) beta, program, beta, program. Users don’t know if they are coming or going.
I think Vlk needs to take some of these ‘slackers’ skydiving. As he says, ‘if at first you don’t succeed, skydiving isn’t for you.’

There is absolutely no need to Quote the whole first post to respond in the topic, as has been mentioned before. You need only Quote what it is you are specifically responding too, not just an acknowledgement you have got the beta.

the option Show last popup message will be removed. it haven’t worked correctly for last few months, and better way is to put the toaster messages to notifiaction center as it’s not limited to just the last one
