I appreciate the new beta update.
Whilst its nice to say what’s new, what about a section on what’s fixed ?
Considering there are - No Know Issues in the above info
Whilst there have been issues reported in this beta and some that haven’t been resolved in the current regular release.
Come on… on a Premier version? I suppose this turns off with the same toggle that rest of the offers but
I honestly don’t want Google Chrome spying on my web and program usage.
It hasn’t worked for some time (it hasn’t just started in this beta), it doesn’t work in the regular release version 17.5.2303. Why it would be any different depending on how you access the Virus Chest, is beyond me.
Though I just wonder if it is somehow permissions, but it has worked for many, many, years without issue what they have changed in the Scan interface (its looks like a different screen when the scan is running) would appear to have broken it.
Of course it does, that is what we are saying, but it doesn’t if you go directly to the virus chest from the tray icon. You have to ask why Avast would change the dependency.
This is the same as the decision to open the UI when using the context menu ‘Quick’ scan another monumental pain in the backside. The tray icon context menu is meant to make access quicker to elements that are buried in the UI. Avast have promised/talked about improving the context menu of the tray icon, but nada, zilch, sod all, if anything it is more depreciated.
