Hi TheLightgg, currently, you need to download public installation package and perform repair installation (or uninstall the BETA one and install the public) in order to get rid of the BETA.
Thank you J.Bryl for your feedback. We will look at the first two issues. Regarding the last one, this happens when the license is expired - so you install Premier (or any other paid or trial edition) and the downgrade is performed immediately.
This needs to be changed. There’s been several reports on the forum and it’s happened to me personally.
Currently after install Avast immediately downgrades to Avast Free if the trial license is expired without giving the user a chance to insert their license file.
By the time the license file has been inserted, it’s too late and Avast reverts to free and then when it recognizes the paid license, it requires another reboot to become a paid edition. It’s really just an annoyance.
I’ve noticed that by using the offline installer without internet connection you do get some time to insert the license file after install without automatic downgrade.
You should consider waiting 10-15 mins on the paid version with trial expired before reverting to free.
