Enjoy this beta!
We are looking forward to your feedback.

AVAST Team.

Auto Update Just now.
Thank you and testing,

The ‘Repair’ function and ‘Add and Modify Component’ and ‘Backup Settings’ under “Troubleshooting Tab” Now all functioning in this version.

Can’t seem to find the “enable/disable” the Avast Email signature location in the beta UI :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks Karel, testing it asap…

Look at Mail Shield settings please

Updated manually via UI, the beta is running smooth here, so far.
It seems that system startup is heavier/longer than before, though.

Thanks Martin
Trouble is I must be blind but I certainly can’t see any option referring to “Avast Signature”
Please see screen shot.

It is in your attached screenshot, though as far as I can recall, it has never been called “Avast Signature” though, just “Insert note into clean message (outgoing).”

Hi, could you please elaborate on this feature/function…!? Cheers

Thanks for the new beta

Ah, ok David, I seem to recall that it was worded differently. ???

It was called Avast signature.

I was pretty D… sure it was!
And now there is no such option, so has it been eliminated???

When the new settings UI was first announced, i was afraid some settings might get removed. I don’t care much about this one, but still…

In this particular case, it’s the same setting. In the “old” settings, the same checkbox was in two places - first in Mail Shield settings, second (easier to reach) on the main page of settings.

Hi Igor
The issue is that there is still an “Avast Signature” being placed on outgoing emails that there seems to be NO SETTING that I can find to “Disable” the signature if I so choose.
Please clarify…where is the setting???

This signature is being attached: “This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software.
https://www.avast.com/antivirus

As DavidR suggested the setting may have been change to “insert note into clean message (outgoing)”
As my screenshot demonstrates in post #6 I don’t have that option checked

Thanks, it has been some considerable time since I used this function, when its only location was in the Mail Shield settings.

Well I’ve resolved my own confusion.
The “Enable Avast email signature” box/option is not present in the ‘beta’ version of Avast GUI but is present in the stable version (which runs on my XP).
HOWEVER, the attaching of the email signature is still functional in the ‘beta’ version now with no way to disable. (Certainly no way I’ve noticed)

Avast finally waked up and did full 64 bit version, while other AV vendors has it over decade. Good job!
