new beta version 19.1.2357 (build 19.1.4102) is released.
This release contains many changes but one is really big - this is the first fully 64bit Avast version. Please note that anything can be affected by this change. Please check if you find any issue in Avast functionality - any report is valuable for us. There are some limitations mentioned below, please go through the known issues carefully.
What’s new
Fully 64bit version (one installer, contains both versions)
19.1 version can`t be installed on Windows XP/Vista
Deep network scan research participation possibility at the end of Wi-Fi inspector scan (only on some networks)
It is in your attached screenshot, though as far as I can recall, it has never been called “Avast Signature” though, just “Insert note into clean message (outgoing).”
In this particular case, it’s the same setting. In the “old” settings, the same checkbox was in two places - first in Mail Shield settings, second (easier to reach) on the main page of settings.
Hi Igor
The issue is that there is still an “Avast Signature” being placed on outgoing emails that there seems to be NO SETTING that I can find to “Disable” the signature if I so choose.
Please clarify…where is the setting???
This signature is being attached: “This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus”
As DavidR suggested the setting may have been change to “insert note into clean message (outgoing)”
As my screenshot demonstrates in post #6 I don’t have that option checked
Well I’ve resolved my own confusion.
The “Enable Avast email signature” box/option is not present in the ‘beta’ version of Avast GUI but is present in the stable version (which runs on my XP).
HOWEVER, the attaching of the email signature is still functional in the ‘beta’ version now with no way to disable. (Certainly no way I’ve noticed)
