Hi Stellarman, I’m ready to test the new beta, but I didn’t get updated yet. (Note, I’m always on beta channel.)

Hi,

well, that’s a bit weird.

Could you please open Windows Task Scheduler and check task called “Avast Cleanup Update” to see when is scheduled the Next Run Time and when was the Last Run Time and what was the Last Run Result?

Thank you.

Hi, not found/available, do you maybe mean “Avast TUNEUP Update”…!?

You’re right, I put there a wrong name of the scheduled update task. Correct name is as you wrote “Avast TUNEUP Update”.

Here you go…

Thanks, you can either wait for the next scheduled run time and check whether update was executed, or if you don’t want to wait you can select the task and click Run in the Task Scheduler to execute it on demand. (Run action is available in the right-click context menu or in the Task Scheduler menu Action → Run).

Well, I already waited a few days, but OK - let’s see…

Hi Stellarman,

I did dig deeper today and it seems related to licensing somehow.
I’ve legit ACP beta-licences, but it doesn’t recognize/accept them.
That’s probably the reason why ACP won’t update here anymore.
And while I’m happy to help, I’m not willing to pay for beta-testing.

Hi,

well we’ve changed the licensing technology on a client side but it should not prevent you from updating to the new version.
During the update you should get a new Beta license and everything should work.

We’ve already updated couple thousands of Beta users and so far nobody has complained about that.

Could you please try to execute (run) the update scheduled task manually to see whether it works?

Thanks.

No luck, but as you mentioned thousands testers, you won’t miss me.
Nevertheless, I’ll gladly be back for the next beta (in case it works here).

Cheers
