Hi everyone,

new beta version 19.2.2362 (build 19.2.4172) is released.

What’s new

  • Build version displayed in UI now shows also the version of latest uupdate which was delivered to the PC (for example: before 19.2.4159.0 and after 19.2.4159.111). You can now better recognize if you have applied our latest hot-fixes.
  • Removed Morphisec integration code - this experimental feature was removed from our product
  • New screens for creating and scheduling custom scans

What was fixed

  • Fixed random crashes
  • Fixed BSOD in aswNetSec.sys
  • Option to install SafePrice extension for Firefox is back
  • Tray icon status is now better synced with the main status on dashboard
  • Fixed crash when user activates more licenses at the same time

Being that the Morphisec feature has been removed,

Please confirm:
that the “Allow usage data to be shared with 3rd. Party for Analytics” box now becomes irrelevant/non-functional, thus leaving the “Enable Advanced Threat Protection” option in the Behavior Shield also non-functional.
Both options visible in this beta UI

Bug-Report: Export of the settings doesn’t work here anymore.

First-time problem with UI coming up BLANK/Not responding
One click on Avast Icon (task bar) no response… second click UI comes up Blank ???

Edit: A ‘restart’ did not resolve the issue. After a ‘shutdown’ the UI now appears normal

I will add, there have been some UI glitches/hangs for me with this beta

I’m definitely having UI issues in this beta that wasn’t an issue before.
One click on the Avast taskbar icon, results in ‘no response’, the next (2nd) click the UI comes up Blank White. Right click functions also don’t respond.

Hi, UI go updated to V1.0.330 yesterday, check if you’re up to date.
This version also fixes the issue you mentioned in Reply #2. Cheers

I restarted and the issue resolved. Still it’s an issue that wasn’t apparent before.
Maybe a clean reinstall of this beta. :-
Think I’ll wait to see if any devs have seen this issue.

I’m wondering that too. That feature has no purpose then. Also, why was Morphisec added to stable version and then removed like 2 weeks later?

Hello everyone,

My Avast Premier is updated, but the version is somehow incorrect… version is correct, but build is still .4159. Shall I assume that the update did not go well? Need a fresh reinstall?

Wondering same thing as well, was it only a 2 week trial of that? or what gives, why added to stable version in first place

Afaik, it was only included in beta-channel builds.

I’ve only been using stable build and Advanced Threat detection was present and only available if you enabled 3rd party reporting…

Yes, but that was only related to the GUI, not the function itself.
