Thanks Jan, testing it asap…

Thanks, received via bc.

Got several BSODs, did run the support tool but got error 12002. Back on 2378 for now.

Hi guys, we have discovered an unpleasant bug (affecting about 12% of installs) that might reboot your PC in about 10 minutes after running the latest beta. It would not do permanent damage to OS install, it is just inconvenient.

So we have stopped the distribution of the 19.6 beta. The links in the original post now temporarily lead to old beta version - 19.5.

- If you have obtained the latest beta prior to 05/31/2019 17:00 CET, we recommend to re-download installers from the URLs above.

 • Alternatively, you can go to Settings → Protection → Core Shields and UNCHECK “Enable Rootkit detection”.

We will release a stable version early next week. Thanks for understanding and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Hi benko
What OS’s is this bug affecting?
I have 17.6.2379 installed via beta channel (May 30th.) on Win 10 1903 64 Bit and have NOT had any issues so far with ‘rebooting’ or anything else I’ve noticed.

As benko said, 12% of users are affected: it seems you’re not.

Understood
I was wondering more whether the bug is across the board of OS’s Win 7 through to Win 10.

Bug is affecting installations on all OS.

Thanks, good to know.

Thanks for the response,

It seems this build cannot disable any shields at all… trying to disable a shield, something flashes (possibly self-defense dialog) but disappear instantly and shield remains enable.

Hi, I can confirm the issue.

Just updated to 19.6.2380 via bc
Shields can be ‘disabled’ here on Win 10 1903
