New beta version 20.3.2404

Hi everyone,

I`m glad to announce that new beta version is ready - 20.3.2404 (build 20.3.5185).

What was fixed

  • Edition upgrade (where only edition is changed but build remain the same) does not require OS restart
  • Random issue with freezed OS during AV edition downgrade / uninstall
  • Reading account details so name and email address are properly displayed in Menu

Known issues

  • Sensitive data shield does not show protected files in User Interface after upgrade from Free to Premium edition without restart (it is ok after the computer restart)
  • Two application crashes under specific conditions related to SecureDNS and Webshield components
  • SecureDNS component is not fully working after upgrade from Free to Premium edition without restart on MS Windows 7 (it is ok after the computer restart)

  • Some translations (German) are missing for WFI/WLI.
  • No “what’s new info” (German) in splash screen, like shown in screenshot from schmidthouse in Reply #2.

This has been fixed in UI 509.

When is the stable update release? How long does it usually take?

There’s a problem with the Network Scanner, not from this beta, but sicne before. After the first scan, it asks you if you want to keep monitoring the network and be alerted when a new device connects to it, but then it doesn’t do that. You have to re-scan manually to find any new devices, and still no alerts.

With beta 20.3.2405 i was able to build and boot with the avast usb rescue disk with no problems,i just wish there was wireless update option.

I also wish it wouldn’t take so long to crate one of these.
I can almost re-install windows in the time that it takes to create the Rescue Media.
