there is a new beta version ready - 21.10.2495 (build 21.10.6712).

What’s new

  • better way to install missing components (directly from the UI)

Known issues

  • users may experience BSOD (blue screen of death) on Windows 7 32bit during uninstallation

Also please be informed that we would appreciate if you would be so kind and try our Antivirus product based on so called “icarus” setup (installation and update engine) already used for other Avast products but now available also for AV. Please note that in order to get it, you need to uninstall the current one (automatic migration is not supported at the moment).

Thanks Petr, already up and running.

  • The Avast tray icon is hidden in this beta, is this on purpose…?
  • The beta updated the UI to .677, but a subsequent reboot reverted it back to .675

Just a UI glitch… :wink:

For Japanese one, it also cut strings off (like “Securit”)

Hello.

I wanted to ask the devs.
Was the following issue really fixed, beginning from this beta?

I mean the one that was promised in this message by the link:

That issue is described in that topic/thread in detail.

After that reply I avoided updating until I get to version 21.10

But I really wanted to be sure that the fix to that problem was included in this version.
So that all the settings would actually be saved and loaded properly by Backup and Restore functions.
