This 6042 beta caused some earlier problems to return:
when opening Firewall Rules, the UI hangs for several seconds. 6041 beta seems to be ok.
when inserting external hard disk, this beta caused it to be treated as a flash drive i.e. there is no Recycle Bin when deleting files. Windows asked whether I want the file to be deleted permanently. I had to uninstall and reinstall this beta for it to work properly.
if we want to stop a component, the pop-up question asking whether we want to stop it is in white theme. Not default or dark theme.
Other outstanding bugs:
If I set ProtonVPN TUN Network as Trusted, it will show as Untrusted the next time the PC is restarted.
Restoring settings does not restore the apps in Do Not Disturb mode. Sometimes an app added there disappears on PC restart esp. Photos app.
In Geek Area, there is option to delete scan logs after x no. of days. It doesn’t work.
ccm52 I’m trying to induce the issue with white theme, but it works fine for me. Could you please copy and pack this folder: c:\Program Files\Avast Software\Avast\gui_resources\ and send it to petr.blatny@avast.com?
You misunderstood. If I set Avast Free to Dark theme, the ‘Component Stop’ pop-up (when we want to disable Avast) is also dark. If set to Light theme, the pop-up is white. But if set to Default theme, the pop-up is white instead of greenish like before.
My Windows is set to Dark theme.
I can’t take a screenshot of the pop-up even though I unchecked ‘Hide pop-ups from screen captures’ in Settings-Notifications.
