Enjoy this beta!
We are looking forward to your feedback.

Also please be informed that we would appreciate if you would be so kind and try our Antivirus product based on so called “icarus” setup (installation and update engine) already used for other Avast products but now available also for AV. More information is here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=264883.0.
Please note that in order to get it, you need to uninstall the current one (automatic migration is not supported at the moment).

Thanks Jan, testing it asap…

Fix confirmed. Cheers

Thanks for the new beta

As I reported with 22.2.6001, Firefox 97.0.1 (current) frequently displays “Network Protocol Error” for a number of sites with 22.2.6002:
https://www.fredmeyer.com
https://www.xfinity.com/stream/listings
https://www.morganstanleyclientserv.com/
and a few more
Sometimes repeatedly clicking on “Try Again” will eventually get through although in 22.2.6001 it never did. It stays “fixed” until the browser cache is cleared or the site expires the old data. MS Edge and Pale Moon don’t exhibit this problem.
22.1 didn’t exhibit this problem, but it had another issue on W7-64+ESU which 22.2.* fixed.

This must be beta-only issue, as this is caused by “Enable automatic changing of online fingerprint” feature in Web Shield, which is available only in beta.

Many thanks! That is indeed the problem. Disabling that function fixed my issue. Searching for “Enable automatic changing of online fingerprint” led me to the 21.9 beta forum where it was introduced as a test. Again, many thanks for suggesting that.
