Hi everyone,

there is a new beta version ready - 23.2.6053 (build 23.2.7961).

What was fixed
Fixed issue where disabled shields message in UI had yellow instead of red color.
Fixed the incompatibility with product DxO PhotoLab and also other possible performance problems caused by the same bug in the AV.

Well it seems to be good with DxoLab ;D ;D ;D

I also performed a scan like i always do, and in found it a little bit slower ???

Now all are waiting, new version, free avast, premium, avg and one 8)

I will try to find out if it is still valid process, in the meantime could you please try to report it directly via AV UI? (Settings > General → Troubleshooting > Record a performance problem).

Fore me and maybe for other user, is that all soft with issues are working fine ;D

My laptop with I7 is a old with 8.1 64

Surely i must change to have a powerfull one, to run last version of DxoLa 6 :o

it says there is an update but cant download it. if i chose avast to repair itself it says somebody might have changed the program etc., could be an attack on it.

do i need to worry?

You don’t say what your current Avast program version and build number is ?
What or why can’t you download e.g. what errors are you getting ?

Have you tried a system restart ?

I have my Avast Program set to manual program updates as I monitor the Avast forums to see when a new program is released, what changes have been made, any bug fixes are in it, etc. If I don’t feel the changes or bug fixes effect my system, I just keep monitoring and see if there are any reported issues with the update.

You have posted in the beta sub-forum, but I assume (dangerous I know) you aren’t on the Avast Beta stream.

well, thats the same version as on my screenshot 23.2.6053 (Build 23.2.7961.776). maybe this helps: version of GUI 1.0.751

it says there is an update available but cant download it

no, i downloaded avast regularly. didnt even know there are public beta builds. just came to this thread as i was googling the build ID

This started appearing in Avast version 23.3.xxxx, check out this topic from this first report on can’t update and or version is the same as installer.

Clean install means totally removing any prior installs using the removal tool, rebooting and then doing a new install.

i already set back windows to zero and did a fresh avast install and got that message

funny enough i dont get that update message anymore meantime

I have no clue what you did but that certainly wasn’t a clean install.
