Hi,
if you are interested in beta testing, please feel free to download and install the latest beta version here:
https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=172334.0
You can then provide your feedback on the Beta Board here:
https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=15.0
Thanks for your help
Hi guys
It is really important for Avast that users participate in Beta testing, to find - and solve issues with upcomming releases.
Not only do you have the opportunity to try out new releases first, but you can also test if everything works as expected before the actual release.
Important :
When you start to participate in Beta testing take these precautions in case something goes wrong :
Greetz, Red.
If the user has AOMEI Backupper just make a “disk backup”. Personally I use a 2 TB external HDD.
Then if and when you need to restore the image “backupper” gives you the choice of which partitions to restore.
Lets get some interaction/response for the beta testers from the appropriate developers for their issues/bugs reported.
Where is the topic about the latest stable version ?

Off the top of my head I thought that would surely be a pinned topic in this forum, looks like it has been unpinned.
But this is where it is, https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=169887.0. It is rather a large topic, so it rather depends what you are looking for. If reporting an issue with the 10.2.2218 build, then it would be better in its own new topic.
Thanks David. Unpinning the topic also unpins the current full installation packages.
I don’t understand,
why is the topic no longer visible/available? ???
If you’re using Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 and need an easy way to create an Image backup,
Try the following: https://youtu.be/m5h9Kug5HTI

It is still available, click the link I gave (Reply #6) and you will see it. If there isn’t much activity on it then it will rapidly drop down the order in the list.

No longer in the beta, only have secureline and avast mobile, gone back to windows security, just as good for what I need.

A quick question ahead of the final release. I don’t have Grimefighter installed, when I update to R3 via the GUI will my choice be honoured in respect of Cleanup (ie will cCeanup be installed as a new feature regardless of the fact that Grimefighter was not previously installed)?

Yes, at least it works in the beta.

So Cleanup won’t be installed?
It didn’t work for me. Cleanup was installed even though Grimefighter was not on my previous install.
Using a custom install should give you the option to unselect.

Thanks … I’ll update using the installer this time.

I thought I read somewhere in an earlier beta that the free element of GrimeFighter (a.k.a. CleanUp) was installed so beta testers could test it. At least that is my recollection, but I don’t know if this would be valid with this R3 beta and now RC build.
