What Was Fixed
Protection
Virus Definition Recovery — When the installed virus definitions failed to load, the scanner kept retrying the same broken files and never came back. It now repairs the definitions and keeps scanning. This also stops Chrome being reported as suspicious while that was happening.
Crash on ARM64 PCs — The threat analyzer could crash while it shut down on ARM64 PCs. Fixed.
Known Issues
Protection
Memory Use in Web Protection — Web Shield can slowly take up more memory when it receives empty network packets.
VPN
VPN Network Driver May Not Install — The WireGuard network driver can fail to install. VPN cannot connect until it does.
Privacy
[Critical] Secure Identity Alert Counts Disagree — The number of identity alerts differs between the notification, the app dashboard and the web portal.
Stability
Crash During Smart Scan — Avast One can close unexpectedly while a Smart Scan runs.
App Window Closes Unexpectedly — The app interface can close on its own. The browser engine it uses to draw the screens crashes.
