New browser version 87.1

We’re pleased to announce that we have released a new version of Avast Secure Browser (ASB) for Windows - version 87.1.

Changes

If you have ASB already installed, it should be updated automatically (feel free to visit ‘secure://settings/help’ to trigger an update faster), in case you are installing it from our website, you might get an older version first and be updated to the latest one in a few days. We are working on a fix of new installs intensively. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

Seems for whatever reason, I am trying to log onto my account at Macys.com or Kohls.com and its giving me a technical error with the new browser update version 87.1

I was able to log on a couple days ago under the previous version, but now it keeps telling me a technical error. I can sign on fine when I go on a regular chrome browser, but I would prefer using the Secure Browser.

Any reason why this may be happening?

What’s the error message? A screenshot would be helpful.

Avast isnt giving the error message, its the actual website of the store I am trying to log into. It says A Technical Error Has occurred. Please call…" and gives me a number to call. I noticed this happens with the newest version of Avast Secure Browser though. The old version 86 allowed me to log on fine. The minute I updated to Version 87.1.7587.142 (Official Build) (64-bit), now there is a technical error on the website not allowing me to log on.

But as I said, I can log on fine when I go through the regular Chrome browser outside of Secure Browser? So I am confused why there is a problem on the Avast Secure Browser preventing me from logging on.

I had to do a full unistall of the secure browser with the uninstall tool, then reinstalled it and I got version Version 86.1.6938.199 (Official Build) (64-bit), and that allows me to log onto the website. But I know that will just update again to version 87.1.7587.142 (Official Build) (64-bit) in a couple of days and I wont be able to log on again. I hope Version 88 wont give me these issues.
