New Browser Version 92.0

Hello everyone,

We’re pleased to announce that we have released a new version of Avast Secure Browser (ASB) for Windows - version 92.0 to some users. This version will be rolled out to all users over the coming days/weeks.

Changes

  • Major Chromium update
  • [New] Cycling Tabs Setting - setting that allows you change CTRL + TAB behaviour to cycle through recently visited tabs instead of in order
  • [New] Enabled Reading List - When you want to save a page to read later you can add to a new reading list instead of bookmarking the page. To add a page to your reading list, click on the bookmark star icon on the right-hand side of the address bar. The page will then be added to your reading list on the right of your bookmark bar.
  • [New] Phalanx AMSI connector - If you don’t have Avast or AVG Antivirus installed, ASB will now use 3rd party Antivirus engines for threat detection and scanning. This provides an extra layer of security for those who don’t have Avast or AVG Antivirus installed.

Fixes

[li]Improved the overall stability of the Browser

  • Improved speed and stability of Avast Sync
  • Improved anti-phishing performance
  • Minor design improvements and fixes
  • Fixed access to wetransfer.com
  • Fixed search after pressing ‘Return’ key on New Tab Page
  • Fixed issues with installation of Rakuten extension

How to get this latest version
If you have ASB already installed, it should be updated automatically (feel free to visit ‘secure://settings/help’ to trigger an update faster)
Alternatively, you can download and install ASB from our official site:

We hope you enjoy the changes we have made, and as always we would love to hear your feedback. Please try our Browser also on your other devices. Next to Windows version, it is available on iOS, Android and MacOS platforms, and with the Avast sync, you can synchronize the settings on all of them. You can download the MacOS version here, more information for iOS see here (English locales only), and for Android here or go straight to the App Store or Google Play Store.

Ich habe heute das Avast Update unter Win 10 installiert. Leider funktioniert der Browser nicht mehr. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Browser keine Verbindung mehr zum Internet.

Translation:
I installed the Avast update on Win 10 today. Unfortunately the browser no longer works. In contrast to other browsers, no longer connected to the Internet.

@krswo: Please post here in English. It is easy to use an online translator.

Updated everything, cleared cache multiple times, reboot twice daily and ran 3 A/V scans (using Avast Premium Security) and ASB still lagging badly.

Even did a SFC and all was good.

I’ve stopped using the ASB. Tired of the “timeouts”. Poor performance and constant issues for the last week.

Using regular Chrome and it works well. Definitely not a hardware issue.

Avast Premium Security - 21.6.2474 (build 21.6.6446.683)

PS - Bank Mode is even worse!!

Hello guys!

My Avast Browser version was 86… but wasn’t update anymore for an unknow problem.

To try to use the new versions the Avast Browser was uninstalled. However, now its impossible to install Avast Secure Browser, because the program simply doesn’t work. The program try to install but show the message “It doesn’t possible install. Visit www.avastbrowser to get help”.

I’ve tried with more than one instalator, but without success.

I’ve also tried install the full pack of Avast Free Antivirus, with offline installer, checking the buton “Install Avast Secure Browser” but doesn’t work too. In this case, the instalation apears with SUCCESS, but it’s nothing really happen.
