Avast is detecting this ransomware just fine from my test.So all users even free of course are protected.

FYI,VT is outdated on Avast detection.

Avast does not detect in the scan, but when it tries to run the file it detects it as malware. Why does this occur?

I am not sure what the OP means but avast detects the threat even on demand.It’s the normal malware-gen detection (auto-detected by AI I assume)
