I am using the latest version of Avast home edition. I have been getting new virus defs sometimes twice a day, every day. Is this normal? I usually don’t notice virus def updates that often.
For example, early this morning (6/3) I turned on my PC, and Avast informed me that the virus database has been uodated. Later this afternoon, I started my PC again, and Avast informed me that the virus database has once again been updated.
No “official” reply from the Alwil team yet, but you’ll see another thread about this in General Topics. We’re up to -13 by now – unless, of course, there’s been more in the last few minutes.
Yeah this week, getting at least more than one updates in one day is normal. But the updates contain only small files of Virus Signatures. So don’t think your getting like 2300 Kb from each updates.
