Which will be the new features for 2006?
I have some suggestions for the next version to avast:
It improves the file scanning, making with is faster.
Detection of potentially unwanted programs.
It change for the icons that the S.Z.Craftec created.
Shield improves web, makes with that he is faster.
It changes the appearance of the simple interface, leaves prettier.

joooo i don’t think anyone knows. If they did they would post it in the New features Wishlist topic. Relax there is no rush. Why are you in such a hurry you are getting the program for free, you should be thankful that the authors of this great program are offering it for free. If avast! was like Norton or McAfee they would charge you for each program version update where Alwil does not even for the payed version.
They’re working on this. From VPS 0550-0 you have a litte bit improvement.
What do you mean? Heuristics? Intrusion detection? Rootkits?
I think they won’t change Martin’s icons, even Sasha’s are better.

On the Detection of potentially unwanted programs, I want to say that an improvement would be good so that avast identifies spywares.

I guess when he speaks about SIMPLE INTERFACE, he actualy meant On-Deman Scanner since that one still uses current Windows visual style (msstyles.dll) that users have set as default on their machines.

I think there other changes that need to be done that really is important. And joooo dont be in such a rush. When it comes out, it will. Avast! is still the best antivirus even though it need some improvements. Dont all antivirus need improvements?
It would be good if they improved the speed of scan of the Web shield, therefore when it is activated the connection is slow.
Avast is excellent anti-virus.
IMHO … nr #1 on my ‘what i want to see in Avast’ list is files submission and identification system …
some trojans and viruses took months to add etc. … yes i thankfully use multiple sw solutions but i bet not everyone …
