New Full version screwed up my Network

I have been running the Free version of Avast on my Home Business Network.

I upgraded to the Full Version this week, on the 2 work PC’s (Win 7) and the Accounts server (Win XP)

Since the upgrade my network has slowed to a crawl…just printing an invoice takes minutes to execute.

The Accounting software that was running fine over the network before now crashes continuously.

Both Work PC’s have very slow network and web access.

Dissapointment is an understatement.

I have no choice but to remove Avast from the three machines and find an alternative solution that works.

  1. Download avast! Internet Security: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

Additionally those that are having firewall problems with Avast and Windows 8… Check that the NIC drivers are up to date http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=108522.new#new

I followed your instructions…Without much improvement…

My Accounting Software is still erratic, and my concern is that it will become corrupted.

Familiar websites are impossible to access.

This software is a waste of my time and money, I will search for a suitable alternative.

Removed the FulL version with the ASWclear utility.

Reinstalled the Free Version.

My network is still as scrwed up as with the Full version installation.

Not one of the 3 pc’s can access familiar websites.

I can not do website updates for my business…

I have stopped all the servcices on the free version…and still it remains a screw up…

I find it criminal that you can get away with crap like this…

I am now forced to completely reformat all the 3 PC’s in order to carry on trading my business.

May the fleas of a 1000 camels infest you…
