If I purchase new license and install product, am I given credit for the remaining time left on current
license…for example: have 3 months left on current license, purchase new 1 year license, install product (or
insert new license, whichever is the correct way)…

will I then have new expiration date of 1 year 3 months in the future or just 1 year??

If you purchase via the GUI then it will add on the time remaining to the new licence
