Hello guys,
I submitted a file called microproproc.exe to avast but its not detected yet…
https://www.virustotal.com/file/3bd7ac2d1705b2567bdbc1efa280e6d4c6974dacdfeee12177e1415b12ed26f5/analysis/
In a less than 36 hours, the detection rate grows from 4 to 13 vendors.
Why this file is not detected yet? Is it a real malware or just FP from the other vendors?
Thanks for your time,
Elminster
Could be while it is in the category adware. It is a program that offers language conversion features within Windows Internet Explorer and may be known as “Micronames Multi Language Convert Service”. This program may open pop-up advertisements based on web browsing habits.
Full path on a computer: %APPDATA%\MICROLAB\MYENGIN\COMMON\MICROPROPROC.EXE

So, based in this description it could be considered a PUP (or adware)?
Should it be detected?
Thanks!
Elminster
As 13 vendors added detection, I think there could be reason to add it to detection, but it could also be legit. Well what to do with it, that is for the avast analysts to decide,
