Check your connections settings from IE (LAN) and your firewall.

Edit: Try using a direct connection through avast! settings.

minute to update, restart and all seems

Actually it was completed yesterday.
But it wasn’t checked in real-life program very much… see feel free to report any mistakes you might notice (preferably into a separate thread, not here).

HI I updated avast to the lasted version I have the free version of avast. Avast updated to the lasted version fine. I just thought I would mention though that when I restarted my computer my computer took a long time to restart maybe this was due to the new avast version I am not sure. But nothing is wrong though everything is secured and working fine so far vik and avast team. Keep up the great work.

I love avast and I have recommened you amd installed avast free on my families computers.

update went fine here to without no problem. Invoked the built in update and rebooted.

Updated without problem on WinXP SP3…but next reboot was very slow.

Will watch later reboot and see what happens.

All seems to be working OK other than that.

Yes, the update from the beta builds is bigger as there are diff packages. But 5MB isn’t too bad either IMO.
