New PC woes

Hi

I have bought a new PC and since day 1 seemed to suffer from popups, browser redirections and advertisements. I removed McAfee trial and installed Avast, ran Malwarebytes and a host of other anti-malware software, but still appear to be infected:

I receive the following threat warnings from Avast shortly after turning on my PC and when I connect a network cable (removed URLS!). My browsers appear to be clear of malware now.

Attached are the logs.

Thanks for any assistance offered.

Please remove all the clickable links…!!! Thanks.

There should also be an Addition.txt folder and your RKill Log.

Attach both please.

Please avoid running these types of tools unless instructed.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the response!

Attached are addition.txt and rkill.txt

OK, now you’ve to wait a bit…

Regarding the RKill Log File.

Refer to this image and resave and re-attach, please. (In laymen terms; It is “Corrupt”)

Note: The image is dated, and was designed for OTL, however, the principals apply. Just Rename it to RKill ANSI.txt

Hi Michael,

Attached is the file renamed and saved in ANSI format.

Thanks for helping.

What browser has redirect and advertisements, all…?

Hi argus

I don’t seem to have any browser issues, including redirects, any more. (Since running a whole load of anti-malware software, before I came to this forum).

The remaining malware symptoms that I am alerted to now are Avast threat warnings issued by Avast, occuring shortly after I boot my PC and when I connect a network cable to my PC. Those alerts are like the following:

I changed http to text above to avoid them showing as ckickable links here.

Although I did also receive one alert after refreshing this forum page once this morning, that was an exception. I am using Firefox.

Hi argus

I ran FRST64.exe and all seems quiet on the alerts front so far, on booting and on pulling network cable out and replacing it, i.e. promising progress and perhaps a cure!

Attached is the Fixlog.txt

Hi argus

I couldn’t get that link to work, is the one below correct?

https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/2-delfix/

Sorry, yes is correct. It is this link.
My canned speech from another forum, avast forum it shows this.

http://'http://general-changelog-team.fr/fr/downloads/finish/20-outils-de-xplode/9-delfix

https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/2-delfix/ is defintely okay? I became a bit worried as I do not know that site.

I have now also found delfix on this site:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/delfix/

which is a location I probably feel more comforatble about given I have downloaded and run other files from here this morning.

Both sites are okay.

Author > Xplode tool.

Okay, thanks

They had slightly different names (delfix_10.8 & delfix_1.010) and sizes, so I used the one from bleepingcomputer.

Attached is the ouput.

All seems quiet on my PC so far, I’ll send a donation when I’m happy it is safe to use my card.

Thanks for all your help!

I will be appreciate.
